YourMandarin is Chongqing's first Chinese language center. We are dedicated to deliver courses ranging from four main themes, namely, Conversational Mandarin, Business Mandarin, HSK course and Chinese culture. For expatriates who are working, studying or living in Chongqing, we also offer free services including airport pickup, translation, seeking medical advice and tour guide, etc.
We are eager to share the 5000 years of brilliant Chinese culture with friends from all over the world. We hope to create an oasis in Chongqing for expatriates seeking to improve their mandarin and Chinese culture enthusiasts to freely share and exchange ideas with each other.

Some of them have studied in France, the UK, and the United States so they know first hand what it is like to learn a different language. All of them have had extensive experience in TCSL. Courses/Programs:
1)Conversational Mandarin Course
Conversational Mandarin Courses are designed to help students improve their language skills for effective communication in everyday Chinese. This course contains 8 levels in total, covering beginner, intermediate and advanced materials. Materials are chosen from renowned publishers worldwide to cater specifically to the needs of expatriates living in China.
The beginner course is a foundation course for anyone who wants to speak and understand simple Mandarin as well as read and write basic Chinese. It consists of 3 levels with 50 class hours each and each with about 800 new words. At this level, the focus is to familiarize with Pin Yin, and thus better prepare students to participate in everyday conversation in Mandarin. Upon completion of the beginner level courses, students will be able to conduct simple daily conversations.
The intermediate course is a refresher course for anyone who has completed local Chinese secondary school (or equivalent) and would like to brush up his / her Chinese for higher learning or for the workplace. It consists of 3 levels with 60 class hours each, which focuses on expatriates' day-to-day life in China. Upon completion of the courses, students will be able to employ appropriate expressions and compose complex sentences and paragraphs. The goal is to enable students to express personal opinions while conversing with locals fluently on selected topics.
The advanced course is specially designed for those who would like to master the Chinese language for higher learning or to take up professions that require a good command of Chinese. It consists of 2 levels with 60 class hours each. The focus of which is to help students to expand their vocabulary to accurately express themselves and strive to reach native-speaker fluency.
Each of the courses consists of 5 sections, namely Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Grammar. If you want to improve any of these sections after completing your courses, you can still proceed with an individual plan. In addition, YourMandarin will provide the corresponding teaching materials to further assist your learning experience.
2)Business Mandarin Course
This course is aimed at expanding Mandarin proficiency in business activities and expanding the student’s knowledge about business in China. Here you will learn a lot about various current events in the world of business and all the related communication skills. A brief introduction of Chinese society, culture, and customs will also be addressed to help students receive a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese economy.
This course contains 8 levels of Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced business lessons.
Preliminary business courses consist of 3 levels with 100 class hours each and are designed for business people who know little or no Mandarin to begin with. Upon completion of the courses, students will receive initial communication knowledge in a business manner and essential language skills for commercial activities.
Intermediate business courses consist of 2 levels with 80 class hours each. Upon completion, students will be able to deal with daily work with fluent Mandarin and arrange business activities much more easily.
Advanced business courses consist of 3 levels with 180 class hours each. Upon completion, students will acquire a deeper understanding of the Chinese society and economy via group discussions on hot and sensitive topics covering China’s and the world’s economic situation. They will also be able to grasp plenty of concrete business terms and phrases to make themselves Chinese business professionals.
Our teaching materials consist of three volumes: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Each volume of which is divided into three separate books.
These materials are suitable for people planning or currently participating in the EU-China Managers Exchange and Training Programme as well as other students of business Chinese without any previous Chinese learning experience. They depict the business activities of several overseas businessmen and reveal the business scenes in real life.
The materials are devoted to the training of four basic communication skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing, in an effort to develop students’ real life Chinese communicative competence for business. They feature a wide range of topics, information and exercises and attach equal importance to both practice correct language structure and business communication.
3)Chinese Culture Course
This course is designed to give you a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture. China is one of the four ancient civilizations of the world (alongside Babylon, India and Egypt). It possesses vast geographic expanse, 3,600 years of written history, as well as rich and profound Chinese culture. Many aspects of Chinese culture can be traced back many centuries ago. Chinese culture is so diverse and unique, yet harmoniously blended. It presents an invaluable asset to the world. Learning Chinese culture will help you broaden your views and increase your knowledge about China. Many people are currently starting to learn Chinese, and we feel Chinese culture is an important part of Chinese learning. Chinese culture lessons here will teach you more about the long history of China, customs in China, arts of China and so on. Chinese teachers here are all professionals and possess the idea of "Individualized Instruction" which emphasizes not only the facilitation of students to learn better by incorporating different methods to create various language learning experiences, but also better preparation and design of Chinese culture lessons, so you can experience customized Chinese culture lessons that have been prepared and designed for you. |
